As an occupational therapist, Hannah is faced with many people who are sick regularly. When she had Emetophobia, Hannah would escape these situations due to the fear she was creating. Hannah also experienced contamination OCD, IBS, trouble sleeping and continuous nausea which affected her all through her younger years. Hannah would sanitise her hands continuously and would inspect her food before eating it.
Hannah began the Emetophobia Free coaching in summer, and was thriving by Autumn!

The first time Hannah recognised her progress, she was doing an intense exercise class. This had caused her to feel nauseous, however she was able to prevent herself from panicking!

From here, when affected with a stomach bug, Hannah didn’t let the anxiety control her, she just said ‘oh well’ and moved on!

Now she is Emetophobia free, Hannah does not create anxiety when someone at work is physically ill. She knows that this is just another part of her day, and that she is able to control her feelings and reactions.
Hannah developed an autoimmune disease after overcoming her Emetophobia and believes that the Emetophobia-Free Programme enabled her to handle the symptoms and overall life change of her autoimmune disease much more effectively than if she had the two co-existing.

Hannah was able to independently find a meal plan than worked for her, and knew she would cope with the outcome regardless. Once she learned the skills she needed to cope, she was provided with the power to tackle any obstacles thrown her way including any gastro related symptoms. Hannah's experience was so life-changing that she trained to become a Thrive Programme Coach and is now helping others overcome their fear.
