Hello!
Deb first remembers struggling with emetophobia as a young child.
She watched her father suffer with the same fear – but he refused to seek help because of shame, ridicule, and judgement.
Decades later, as a mother and then grandmother, Deb’s emetophobia only got worse. Appointments, caring for her children and grandchildren, fear of passing out – it controlled everything.
She tried various therapies. They helped with general anxiety, but the emetophobia remained dominant.
Then she found the Emetophobia-Free programme. Everything changed.
The breakthrough moment: A guest had been unwell in her home. Instead of catastrophizing and creating intense anxiety, Deb calmly handled it. She recognized her ability to cope, face reality, and control the anxiety she was creating.
Life now:
✓ Spending quality time with her grandson – eating with him, enjoying moments she thought were impossible
✓ Caring for her grandchildren again without constant fear
✓ Finding her true self after decades of being controlled by the phobia
“Don’t be embarrassed by anything, because this is a real thing, and you are not the only one suffering!”
Deb broke generations of silence. She refused to pass this fear down to her family the way it was passed to her.
