Teenagers & Young Person's Emetophobia.

As you can imagine, and as young emetophobia sufferers know, the phobia can dominate your life - from school to social and home life, every aspect of an emetophobes lifestyle is affected. Eating habits and social situations are all carefully considered to avoid encountering sick/vomit or associated smells and sensations.

Emetophobia in teenagers/young people IS curable though!

Here you'll find a playlist of just a few of the children who have overcome Emetophobia with The Cure Your Emetophobia & Thrive Programme (Young Person's Edition)...

Ben (10)

Young Ben struggled with emetophobia and it really began to negatively affect his life. He found it hard to do everyday things like go round a friend's house for dinner, playing football, going to see a football game, going on car journeys and generally making the most of what life has to offer.

Understandably, his parents were worried and sought help and so completed The Cure Your Emetophobia & Thrive Programme alongside Ben.

A few months later, and he's a happy, smiling young man living free of emetophobia.

Zoe (15)

Teenager Zoe struggled with emetophobia until finding The Thrive Programme's specially-designed course - designed by mental health expert Rob Kelly - for beating this increasingly common phobia.

The results were amazing!

Watch her tell her story, including how, with the help of a licensed Thrive Programme Coach, she is now free of her crippling anxiety around sick/vomit.

Well done Zoe!

Molly (12)

Molly cured herself of emetophobia when she was just 12 years old.

Molly used The Thrive Programme book 'cure your emetophobia and thrive' to overcome her phobia.

Check out her amazing video!

Lauren (14)

Lauren had been suffering from emetophobia and panic attacks and would often react to social situations in a way that her mum described as "frightening" This had a very negative impact on her life and family.

After working hard at The Thrive Programme, Lauren said: "I feel a lot more confident and I've got my self-esteem back. I can now do a lot of the things that I couldn't before."

And her Mum said: "I feel like I've got my daughter back!"

Matilda (12)

12-year-old Matilda shares a lovely testimonial update. In the past, she was unable to eat chicken, she washed her hands obsessively, and she couldn't step on the carpet where she had once been sick.

She says 'these things seem silly to me now' and is now over her emetophobia and seriously thriving.

She wanted to share a lovely inspirational quote she wrote 'you have the choice as to whether you keep on crying, or keep on trying.'

Well done Matilda!'

Katherine & Penelope (13)

Katherine and Penelope - mother and daughter - both had emetophobia.  "I've had it since I was really young and sometimes it's been really bad and other times I've just pushed it to the back of my mind" explains mum Katherine.

When her daughter began displaying similar emetophobia symptoms, she knew it was time to make a change.

So, she got in contact with The Thrive Programme's Mandy Willdig, a licensed Thrive Programme Coach®, who guided the pair through the programme over a few sessions. They are now happy to report that they're both free of emetophobia and loving life!

Hannah (16)

Hannah, here telling her story through a number of video recordings, overcame her emetophobia using the Cure Your Emetophobia & Thrive book in just a few weeks.

After her emetophobia had become all-consuming and rendered Hannah in limbo, she expressed her frustrations by posting a detailed blog online.

After gathering some interest, this blog attracted the attention of two BBC reporters who asked Hannah to explain her emetophobia and be part of a BBC interview.

Gladly accepting, she detailed her symptoms and the lack of expert help out there in an honest interview.

Poppy (14)

This is a video sent to us from a family who underwent The Thrive Programme in order to help their child over her emetophobia.

It is however very relevant for any parent who has a child experiencing any mental health issues. We don't take children (under 16 years old) through The Thrive Programme or The Thrive Programme for Emetophobia without the parents undertaking the programme too.

Why? In order for the child to have the best possible outcome from the programme, parents need to understand the programme, be thriving themselves in order to provide the ongoing support necessary when children are learning these crucial skills.

Daisy (18)

The amazing Daisy cured herself of emetophobia and OCD and anorexia with The Thrive Programme.

Here she explains how she did it.

David (19)

Speaking to any emetophobia sufferers watching this video, David says: "You know emetophobia is taking your dreams and your happiness out of you - you are always worrying and always anxious.

But I believe in you - you can start Thriving too!" .
